Two Simple ways to do Henna!

Two Simple ways to do Henna!

Hello Again Friends!! Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukkah!

Today I want to share my two simple ways to achieve your own Henna! Henna is the delicate patterns on skin made from the temporary substance from a plant called Lawsonia inermis. It is generally used in Indian cultural weddings and special events, but is also just used as an elegant temporary tattoo.

Concept 1)

You will need-

- food coloring
- school glue
- ink-less pen or fine tipped paintbrush

First, mix some school glue with your food coloring of choice, or traditionally, black or red. You may want to add a slightly large amount of food coloring if you want the Henna to be very potent and bright.

Secondly, apply some of the colored glue to your hand in a pattern to your liking. If you are not good at freehand drawing or want inspiration for your design, you can find images of already done Henna. Draw a delicate or bigger pattern on your hand by making small triangles, curls, and lines that can connect. The more delicate the design, the more traditional. Once done with your Henna, wait for glue to dry.

Thirdly, once the glue is completely dried, peel of the glue and left behind will be a beautiful pattern that you had made with the glue. This is not permanent, and peeling the glue will not take long.

You're Done!! This is so simple, and it does not take more than 20 minutes!

Concept 2)

You will need-

- non-toxic colored pencil (Most colored pencils are non toxic)
- warm or hot water

First, soak the colored pencil in your water, and soon it will be able to apply on skin, including lips!

Secondly, draw your design on your skin (traditionally hand,) or use an image of Henna for inspiration. After you let this dry, the Henna is done and you will be amazed at how well this works! Just be aware, the Henna can wash off very easily.

You're Done!! This second strategy is my personal favorite, but I think the first one works just as well. This one takes only about 15 minutes depending on how complex your design may be.

Thank you for reading this post! These Henna concepts are very easy to achieve, and please tell me if you try any of them! Love, Coral Hawaii :)!!
